Update to the Idaho Airport System Plan (IASP) and Airport Economic Impact Analysis (AEIA)

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

The Idaho Transportation Department Aeronautics Division is excited to begin the update to the Idaho Airport System Plan (IASP) and Airport Economic Impact Analysis (AEIA)! Idaho’s airports serve important roles in the state’s economy and in the movement of people and goods across the state, the nation, and the globe. Updates to the IASP and the AEIA are crucial to ensure the system’s safety, security, resiliency, mobility, and economic potential. The update to the IASP will examine current and future demand as well as the facilities and services necessary to meet that demand. We will also analyze industry trends and consider the desires of Idaho’s aviation system users as we develop the roadmap for the future of aviation in Idaho. The AEIA will examine the economic impacts of individual airports and the system as a whole, and document both the quantitative and qualitative impacts of aviation throughout the state.
Public participation is important as we move forward with these project updates.
